Aria Co is a newly formed group of Melbourne-based vocal soloists performing imaginative concerts and events. Our company is made up some of the best and brightest performers emerging in Australian music, including sopranos Jessica Aszodi, Melanie Adams and Hana Crisp, tenor Gaetano Bonfante, bass-baritone Mathew Thomas and pianist Peter de Jager.
The singers of Aria Co are all gifted young soloists of International caliber. They have sung some with Australia’s best musical entities including Victorian Opera, Opera Australia, Opera Queensland, Oz Opera, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Canberra Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Philharmonia, Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra and the Song Company. Aria Co are currently two (sold out) concerts in to our series at the Melbourne Recital Centre. These concerts traverse wide-ranging repertoire from the 17th century to the present day and feature collaborations with some of Melbourne's finest musicians. The next concert, on August 4th, features music by Mahler, Berg, Ligeti and Rihm.
