Aria Co @ Sydney Opera House for Musica Viva
In April 2011, Aria Co made their highly successful Sydney debut as part of Musica Viva's Utzon Series at the Sydney Opera House.
Built around a theme of radical cabaret - the concert presented cabaret inspired works by Arnold Schoenberg, Benjamin Britten, KeithHumble, PeterMaxwell-Davies & Andrew Ford.
Ligeti - Aria Co with The Arko Symphonic Project
In August 2010, Aria Co joined with Melbourne based new music ensemlbe The Arko Symphonic Project and guest singer Deborah Kayser to perform Ligeti's seminal micro-opera Aventures
Aria Co with Quiver
In December 2010, Aria Co joined with Quiver Ensemble to preform excerpts from David Chisholm's The beginning and end of snow Luke Paulding's Target as well as the Australian premiere of a work by acclaimed Italian composer Patricia Alesandrini.
This concert also featured the international performance premiere of Chris Dench's An Hypallage.
New Works
Aria Co is committed to collaborating with composers to present Australian and international premieres of new works.
In 2011 Aria Co is working with composer David Chisholm and baroque ensemble Latititue 37 on the commission of a new chamber opera Parlour Tricks.
In 2010 the ensemble presented Australian premieres of works by composers including Chris Dench, Wolfgang Rihm and Patricia Alesandrini.
